I thought I’d submit this to show the importance of looking around whilst shopping for an artist. The picture on the left is a Marilyn Monroe portrait done by the apprentice of the shop I go to to get my tattoos done. The picture on the right is a portrait done by the “most experienced” artist of a different shop. Both are supposed to be attempts at realistic portraits.

I know the Monroe portrait isn’t the best, but the artist is only an apprentice, and is still learning and practising. The fact that the “best” artist in another shop falls short of the standards of an apprentice is disgusting.

But do you know what the worst part is? Many people I know actually go to the shop where the shitty geisha was done, purely because it’s a lot cheaper than the other shop.

My babies! I still have no idea if I’m doing it right, but they’re fun and kill stuff pretty fast. I keep considering adding more vitality to the DH but when I see her dps go down I get sad :( So what’re a few deaths when you just mow stuff down?

An Administrative Note, of Sorts

I haven’t been playing WoW as much these days. While I doubt that I’ll quit the game for good, there’s not a whole lot that’s interesting me right now. I know there is plenty to do; I see my guildies and friends doing holiday achievements, darkmoon faire, questing and running LFR and I am happy they are enjoying themselves (or, to be fair, appear to be enjoying themselves). I do still enjoy raiding, but outside of those 1- to 3 nights a week, there isn’t a draw for me right now.

My overall WoW apathy is compounded by my new-found love of SW:ToR. At it’s current state, things are still new, unexplored, and there to be discovered. What I see now in ToR is what first caused me to fall in love with WoW. I do have a tumblr for ToR screenshots, but I haven’t taken the time to update it regularly. At this point, I’m a little uncertain of the future of Scenes from Azeroth. I may just post very sparsely until Pandaland comes along :)
